short ride to Bunar Farms where we will meet our porters and distribute
our food and equipment for transfer to the Diamir Base Camp. After final
preparation in Bunar Farms, we set off by jeep (3-4 hours) to Halaley

of the Himalayan culture with us. Our scores of lively Kohistani, who
are tough enough to sing and dance after the hard days work. The return
trip is via the same route back to Islamabad.
NANGA PARBAT - THE KILLER MOUNTAIN
When the sun shines, it smokes up there. The demons blow their horns and fairies cook their bread. (Local Legend)
The "Naked Mountain" as interpreted in the local language, is the "Ninth" in highest in the world and second highest peak in . Standing at the extreme western end of 24,000 Km Himalayan Range - just beyond the deep Indus Valley, culminates in an ice crest, 8125 M high. No other peak within 100 Km
comes anywhere near to it's size. It's incomparable Rupal Face
(southern side) is one of the greatest precipices in the world - a sheer
drop of 5000 M.
A study by the Geo department of Peshawar University in calibration with European and US Universities reveal the fact that Nanga Parbat was became after the collusion of Asian and Indian plates some 400,000 year back. There is no major volcano beneath the Nanga Parbat whoever there are some selpher deposits. Nanga Parbat is the fastest growing mountain on Earth.
Also notorious known as the "Killer Mountain",
it has so far taken the biggest toll of 16 human lives 7 climbers and 9
high porters in one time in the history of mountaineering.
The
first visual record of this mountain was a canvas painted by Rudolf
Schlagintweit brothers - German travelers in 1852. In 1857 one of them
was murdered in Kashgar. Thus the curse of Nanga Parbat had begun.
Nanga
Parbat Mountaineering History began in 1895 when a British expedition
led by A. F. Mummery attempted to find a way up the southern and western
slopes. The party hit by an avalanche and the party disappeared. These
were the first casualties on the Nanga Parbat.
In June, 1953 Hermann Buhl a member of an Austro German expedition led
by K. M. Herligkoffer successfully manages to climb the main peak of Nanga Parbat
massive. It was Hermann Buhl, who took 40 hours of solo climb conquered
this peak and making his name in the history of mountaineering.
Jean Christophe Lafalille and Ed Viesturs successfully submitted this mountain on its 50th anniversary. Thus celebrating the Hermann Buhl magnificent efforts by scaling again this mountain on its 50th
birthday, 2003. Reinhold Messner the first person to climb all 8000
meters peaks in the world return to Pakistan in 2003 for Nanga Parbat,

Gasherbrum I and II
GASHERBRUM EXPEDITION
GI and GII Normal route
65 days, Ex-Islamabad, Non-guided climb
Summery: Gasherbrum II peaks and I stands side by side. Both the peaks have same base camp even the higher camps are common until camp II. Therefore for us ground handling and services to base camp is same for the either of the peaks. Choose one of the either peak or both by paying additional royalty fee. Rest leaves on us and enjoy your climbing.
Gasherbrum
I or II Base camp is a short 5-6 hour walk from Concordia, nature's
version of a highway interchange where several glaciers merge into the
Baltoro.
Hidden Peak is one of four 8000-meter peaks located in a tight cluster in the upper reaches of the Baltoro Glacier, the principle access to that part of the Karakoram. It is also known as Gasherbrum I. Like its bigger sister K2 (located only 20 kilometers west), Hidden Peak displays a classic paramedic shape. Base camp for Hidden Peak is the same as for its busier neighbor, Gasherbrum II, a day and a half east from Concordia, a prominent trekking destination where several glaciers merge into the Baltoro. Your base camp lies directly below the Conway Saddle, which was the first route, used to reach the major Karakoram peaks. Expeditions to the Karakoram now invariably start from Islamabad (capital of Pakistan) and its twin city of Rawalpindi (Pindi to its friends). Once the formalities with the government have been completed, you will continue on to Skardu, located in the district of Baltistan. This trip is made by one of two methods. Often preferred is the air route (when the weather permits), not only because the flight is only an hour, but also because you fly past Nanga Parbat on the way. Alternately, you may take a bus along the Indus River, first following the Karakoram Highway, then branching through the spectacular Indus River gorge as you approach Skardu. The latter is long, but recommended at least once during multiple visits to the region.
From Skardu, you will jeep to Askoli, the last village on the trek. A couple long days bring you to Paiju and the tongue of the Baltoro. Here you will take a rest day as the porters prepare their food for the glacier. Your next stop is Urdukas, a grassy knoll located immediately opposite the Trango Towers and Uli Biaho. Two regular days and a final short day bring you to Base Camp.
Gasherbrum 2 has the reputation of being one of the easier 8000-meter peaks. Its larger namesake, however, is far more technically challenging. Base Camp is at 5200 meters. Camp 1 is at 5900 meters after crossing the treacherous Gasherbrum Ice Fall. Camp 2 is at the Gasherbrum La, about 6400 meters. Camp 3 is at about 7200 meters above a steep couloir’s, although the location is highly variable since it is cut from the steep snow slopes. From the summit, you will see the entire Karakoram, including Broad Peak, Masherbrum, Mustagh Tower, Chogolisa, and of course K2. Depending on the weather, Hidden Peak can be completed in as little as six weeks (Pindi-Pindi) or as long as nine weeks.
The return trip is often over the 6000 meter Gondogoro La and the beautifully green Hushe Valley from which you return to Skardu.

THE GREATEST MUSEUM OF SHAPE & FORM ON EARTH...FOSCO MARAIN - Only the superlatives can define the beauty and grandeur witnessed on this "sublime sanctuary of nature". Known as the most spectacular trek in the world, the traditional expedition route to K-2 (Chogori) 8611 M - the second highest mountain on Earth, cuts through the greatest concentration of some of the highest peaks in the world. Not only are the mountains high, but they are the jagged and sheer than the monoliths of Nepal. 08 of the world's 30 highest peaks of the world stand around this unusual trek. The apex of this incredible trek is CONCORDIA one of the biggest Piedmont glaciers of the world. It is a spectacular junction of Godwin Austin Glacier, Abruzzi Glacier and Baltoro Glacier. It banks, 06 peaks over 25,912 ft (7900 M) within a short radius of 07 miles (11 Km). The walk to Concordia, however, is not a task to be undertaken lightly. It's a hard trek up and down the gorges, across rushing icy torrents, through broken rocks, over wire-rope bridges and through crevasse glaciers. The incentive for this strenuous walk is undoubtedly equally rewarding.
